Videos Multimedia One of the most powerful technologies these days is video. With the advent of Internet and small handheld devices everyone is literally a reporter. Most mobile phones these days have a video recorder on them, or most people have a webcam with their computer and others have the family video camera. This is your chance to get your video seen. The Ballyhornan Family Centre now has its own YouTube account and will be using this to stream clips onto this website for viewing by the community. These clips can be informative, educational, your say about something in the community or just plain fun, all will be considered. Just contact one of the staff at the centre who will be happy help. Become a BFC reporter One of the courses being considered by the Centre is to teach those who are interested, how to create their own short video films. How to identify a subject of interest, How to coordinate and script it, How to record it, How to get it onto a computer, How to edit it and then How to distribute it to media channels such as the Internet. So watch this space for more information and availability of these workshops. In the meantime start to practice with your mobile phone and submit your clips for consideration. Let us know your ideas If you don't want to do it yourself, but feel there is something in the community worth highlighting we will consider covering it and producing a short video on the subject using our trainee reporters. So let us know your thoughts and our team will get right on it. |
