Anyone with children knows they copy what they see adults doing.  It's part of their learning process. So if they see an adult just throwing litter at their feet or from a car window or leaving it on a beach for someone else to deal with, they are going to think it is ok to do the same. In this way  the responsible disposal of Litter becomes one of the most neglected lessons taught to kids. 

We are privileged to live in one of the most scenically beautiful countries in the world, yet many people be-foul it without a seconds thought.

  We all have a personal responsibility for the disposal of our own rubbish and to teach our children to do the same.  If we don't do this we create an endless cycle of future adults who dispose of litter irresponsibly.

So let's make a conscious effort to ensure we dispose of our rubbish properly even if there is not a bin close to hand, and that we teach our
 children to do the same.
